You Can Have Whatever YOU WANT!
Have you ever seen a gorgeous dress in a ritzy boutique window and fallen instantly in love with it? You know the dress is beyond your budget, yet you can’t get the dress out of your mind. You imagine yourself wearing that dress, you look and feel amazing!
Then one day you, while out back-to-school clothes shopping for your children, Bam! From 200 feet away you see it! The dress same dress (or a very good knock off.)
You make a swift beeline for the dress and lift it from the rack. It’s the dress and it’s your size! You check the price tag. Whew! YES, you can totally afford it.
When you saw that dress for the first time and fell in love with it, imagined yourself in it and acknowledged that you wouldn’t spend that dollar amount for it. Your mind and the Universe took notice.
You wanted the dress at a price that you were willing to pay. The Universe later put that dress at your size and price into your environment.
Behind your eyes, your mind was scanning your environment. When it saw that dress, it locked in and drew your eyes to it. The dress that you wanted became yours.
Your mind is always scanning for what you want. The Universe is busy orchestrating to bring it to you.
This Universe is a mirror. It is a place of Know, Be, Do and then Have. If you really know what you want, feel and behave as if you already have it or are it. It will come into your reality.
So, do you know what you really want? What YOU want? Not what your children, your spouse, your parents, your family, your friends or your boss wants from you or for you. What do you want?
When asked this question most people will say that they want a loving relationship and friends, a fulfilling profession, wealth, good health, a nice home, time to do what they want, etc.
Cool, awesome! There are thousands of versions of a dream life.
If you don’t know what your ideal version of health, wealth, relationship or happiness looks like you may end up living someone else’s idea of the perfect life and not feel very satisfied.
Do you really want your mom’s version of a dream life? Maybe, maybe not…
Having a clear idea of what you want in your life is the first step in achieving. If the question leaves you with your mouth hanging open and your mind short-circuiting, don’t worry. Take some time to get to know yourself, your preferences and what makes your heart soar. Ask yourself, “What do I really want in my life?” and write down your answer. Now you have a starting point.
Next, if you wrote down anything in the form of, “I don’t want X,” work on turning that into a statement of what you do want. An “I don’t want X”, statement lacks clarity of direction for what you do want. Dig deeper until you know yourself and what you want.
Know, Be, Do and Have.
Knowing what you want is the starting point to creating a roadmap leading to what you want. Starting with a destination in mind makes it much easier to chart a course, prepare for what will be needed and choose what steps makes sense for you to arrive at your desired destination. Knowing what you really want also makes it easier to say no to what you don’t want. For example, perhaps your best mom-friend tries to reel you into co-chairing a charity event committee at your kids’ school. If you know this doesn’t fall under the category of “things you really want to do,” saying no and meaning it will be a lot easier.
Knowing what you really want is a directive to the Universe and to your mind to put the puzzle pieces of life together for you.
