What is a Radiant, Intuitive Woman???
It sounds super SEXY and AWESOME! But what do those descriptive words really mean???
I recently had the opportunity to be interviewed by Cheri Baumann for a video series that she titled, “Radiant, Intuitive Woman.” As the series was airing and I looked through the bios of the women being interviewed I began wondering…What makes others consider someone to be Radiant and Intuitive?
Do Radiant and Intuitive Women share common traits??? And What the HECK are they??? How can I be more radiant and intuitive and more often?!! For a bit I was consumed and wanting to learn more.
I began paying attention to the women in my inner circle. Then as I travelled about the country I was taking note of the women that I was blessed to meet that in my eyes were Radiant, Intuitive Women. I paid attention to what characteristics these women share that seemed to exemplify Radiant & Intuitive. Then I went to the dictionary. Hello Merriam Webster!!
The Dictionary Said…
Radiant is marked by or expressive of love, confidence or happiness. Intuitive led to intuition. Intuition being quick and ready insight and/or the power of attaining direct knowledge or cognition without evident rational thought and inference. Hmmm…
What I noticed…
A Radiant, Intuitive Woman is TRUE to herself, she allows herself to be honest about who she is. She walks in the world AS HER TRUE SELF WITHOUT APOLOGY.
She finds strength in honoring herself and honoring others. She knows that in doing so she is empowered and empowering others! She isn’t giving her power away or attempting to take someone else’s power.
A Radiant, Intuitive Woman ALLOWS herself to BE HAPPY. She EMBRACES the world and others with a sense of THINGS going RIGHT for ALL. Let me say this differently…a Radiant, Intuitive Woman CHOOSES to SEE the BEST in PEOPLE and SITUATIONS.
She can walk away from anyone and any situation while she wishes them well.
Does this mean that she is always happy? NOPE!!!
Does she every get upset? ABSOLUTELY!!!!
Does this mean that she is perfect? NO WAY!!!
Is she always certain of the right thing to do? Does she ALWAYS have CLEAR DIRECTION??? NO, NO, NO!
Let’s Break it Down ~ 3 Common Qualities of a Radiant Intuitive Woman
- She is true to herself, her values and her desires. She apologizes for her behavior when appropriate. She DOES NOT apologize for being herself. No matter how zany, zingy or wonderful she is. She DOES NOT fake who she is to fit in.
- She embraces life with love and happiness even in crummy situations. She chooses to see love, BE love, experience love. To do this she does her best to take NOTHING personally and yet be PERSONABLE. THIS DOES NOT MEAN THAT SHE LETS PEOPLE WALK ALL OVER HER OR STAYS IN SITUATIONS BEYOND HER TIME TO GO! (SEE #1)
- She trusts her inner compass to guide her way. She allows herself the time and space to connect to her internal compass and find her way. She is willing to forego rational thought and step beyond her own and other people’s limitations when she is clearly inspired.
HOW CAN YOU BECOME MORE RADIANT AND INTUITIVE? Start with…
- BE YOU! Let go of the need to please other people. STOP apologizing for who you are and occupying space on the planet. SMILE AND LOVE YOUR ZANY, AWESOME SELF.
- Look for and FOCUS on the love and joy in all situations and people. Include YOURSELF! Hey, consider starting with yourself!!
- Take time to connect to your inner compass in a way that works for you. For some people it is by being alone in nature. Others meditation. If you play an instrument that may be your personal connection. Feeling deeply connected to your own inner compass opens you up to be inspired and gifts you valuable, timely, reliable guidance.
There are other ways of course to feel and be more radiant and intuitive. As many ways as there are women. Whatever your path I invite you to step more fully into your RADIANT, INTUITIVE Self!
