Divine Mother Nature!
Every day as I pick food from my garden I feel deeply blessed and astonished that food grows here! Here in my yard, in this desert soil! Over the past year I have harvested head after head of lettuce, cucumbers, beans, sorghum, various herbs, sweet potatoes, greens and edible flowers. Broccoli and Cauliflower surprised me with their delicate florets, much better home grown. This fall I will reserve more space for them and plant more.
Of course, I have had more failures than successes but the truth is that any failure has been an immense learning experience for me on many levels. I welcome them with an open mind and heart at least on the occasional basis. Each success, each decadent bite that I enjoy from my garden encourages me to grow more, grow better, share the bounty of my garden and share my passions.
Namaste,
Monica
